I wasn't going to put on here how we met because I just figured everyone who knows us, would know and there would be no reason for it to be on here. I was looking at my friend and her husbands blog and they had their story on here, so why not put our story on here.
Here it goes.....
Andrew was on his second tour of duty in Iraq while I was working as a bookeeper at Vons back in Port Hueneme.
I had asked a friend of mine at the time if her husband knew any single guys. Turns out there was a pick for me. She told me about a guy and that he worked with her husband and that they were going to come home soon from Iraq. Andrew had heard about me too from her husband.
A month rolled by and we kinda forgot about what we heard. Then the troops came back. My friends husband came to our work and gave me Andy's cell number. At lunch I texted him and then he called me. We talked and set up a date for that night.
Our date had finally came. Andy told me this, but he was so excited/nervous that he drove around my block for 30 mins before our date time. When Andy got out of his truck I told my mother "I am going to marry this man, I just know it".
We went on our date and it went great. Love at first sight.
I then moved into Andy's apartment 3 weeks later.
We went on some trips and I met his family 4 months later.
Andy and I both wanted children and had talked about it ALOT. Well while I was back in Indiana meeting his family I found out I was pregnant. A little too soon to be prego, but we were thrilled. So when we got back to California, we got married. It was a quicky, but we were married.
The one thing Andy and I told each other on that day was "We are in this together and for the long run". Till this day we still tell each other that.
Our two wonderful children
Chase William
Our First child born
Our little man
Chase came into the world on January 13, 2006 at 4:29pm Weighing in at 7lbs 7 ounces and 21 inches long. Chase was born at St. Johns Hospital in Oxnard, CA
My pregnancy went pretty well. I went into labor with Chase at 32 weeks. I was always in and out of the hospital and on meds and bedrest until I was 36 weeks. After bedrest and meds to stop my labor, I went into full and REAL labor at 36 weeks and 5 days. My obgyn didn't think Chase would be over 5 or 6lbs. Chase was 7lbs so I a happy I didn't make it to 40 weeks. I was in labor for 21hours. It was painful but it was all worth it.Chase is such a blessing.
Chase is now 4 years old. He can write a couple of letters from the alphabet and he can write his own first name. Chase loves everything and anything Star Wars and Nerf Guns/Toys. Chase is on a t-ball team called the METS. He has practice and a game every week. Chase also starts preschool this september. Check out his aboutmybaby page at http://babyboychase.aboutmybaby.com/ and let me know if you need the pass word.
Madison Rose
Our second child born
Our little mini princess
Madison Rose came into the world on September 6, 2007 at 6am. She was born at Tripler Army Medical Hospital in Honolulu, HI. Maddy weighed 7lbs 12ounces and she was 18.5 inches in length.
The birth and labor experience was so wonderful. I had no pain thanks to my epidural. I was fully awake and I got to touch Madison's head as she was coming out of me. It was just an all around great experience. I carried Madison until 3 days before her due date. I went into L&D for a UTI and they told me I was dialated to 4 almost a 5. I had no idea I was in labor and having contractions. Then 7 hours later she was out of me and in my arms.
Madison is now 2.5 years old. Everywhere and anywhere we go, she is always the Bell of the Ball. Everyone comments on how cute she is. Maddy won't go anywhere without here pink bear that she calls "baby".
Madison Loves water, weather it is to play with, swim in or drink. She is talking in sentences and sings "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". She loves playing outside and she loves her friends.
